Used Lathes For Sale

Very occasionally, I have used Swiss machines for sale and keep a list of customers looking for specific items.

Schaublin 102N-VM – YOM 1986. Exceptionally clean and carefully used metric W20 machine. Variator speed control, clutch and brake, backgeared headstock. Quick-change feeds grearbox. Equipment includes: 50 collets (including a full metric set in 0.5mm); FN Swiss-made three jaw chuck (with inside and outside jaws); Tripan tool-post and holders (some home made), Albrecht tailstock drill chuck; fixed and travelling steadies (the latter home made). Original factory paint.

Machines in this condition are extremely rare on the second-hand market. These are still made by Schaublin Machines SA, but now have a price tag in excess of £45,000 for a bare machine!

Sold

Schaublin 102N-CF W25YOM 2012, completely unused. A few chips and scratches to the paintwork, but otherwise as it came from the factory. With coolant equipment, Multifix quick-change tool-post and Rohm three jaw chuck. A unique opportunity to purchase a brand new machine at a huge saving over the new price of over £23,000 plus shipping and VAT.

£15000 SOLD

Used Schaublin 70 plain lathes. Probably the most highly regarded and sought-after small lathe for horological work. Good machines are becoming increasingly difficult to source. All machines cleaned, carefully assessed and serviced prior to sale. Please contact me for availability. I keep a list of customers seeking machines.

Please note that I am only buying the very best machines and see them extremely infrequently – i.e. less than one a year.

Typical prices £4000 – £15000

Used Schaublin 102 plain lathes. More versatile than the Schaublin 70, but just as capable of producing the smallest components. Like the 70 good examples of these machines are becoming increasingly difficult to source. All machines cleaned, carefully assessed and serviced prior to sale. Please contact me for availability. I keep a list of customers seeking machines.

Please note that I am only buying the very best machines and see them extremely infrequently – i.e. less than one a year.
